THE AMERICAN RED CROSS

The American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts has a long history of providing compassionate care to those in need throughout the Greater Boston Area. We are proud to work with them on their immensely impactful Home Fire Preparedness Campaign throughout the year. Boston Cares volunteers aid by volunteering their time to canvass to raise awareness of home fire safety or help in the installation of new, lifesaving fire alarms in homes in high-need communities.  Through this initiative, Boston Cares volunteers have the ability to become Red Cross Volunteers and volunteer for a variety of different opportunities through the Red Cross Volunteer system.

BOSTON MEDICAL RESERVE CORPS

The Boston Medical Reserve Corps provides opportunities to our volunteers to gain extensive knowledge about public health and disaster preparedness. In conjunction with the Boston Public Health Commission, we are able to host trainings and classes for our Boston Cares volunteers like NARCAN Administration Training, Food Preparedness classes and a variety of other opportunities. Boston Cares volunteers also have the opportunity to join the Medical Reserve Corps and participate in their public health education and disaster response courses. For more info click HERE

AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION

In partnership with the American Heart Association, we are happy to conduct CPR/AED and First Aid certifications and trainings to our Boston Cares volunteers. Keep an eye out on our calendar for the next opportunity to get CPR Certified!
