Learn & Serve

Boston Cares Learn & Serve program offers youth aged 13-18 the opportunity to participate in a four-day service-learning experience during summer and school vacation weeks. Each session includes both classroom learning and hands-on service opportunities to immerse youth in the challenges facing Boston residents. As an alternative school-break program it provides a chance to give back to the community and grow alongside like-minded civically engaged peers. Participants will engage in direct volunteer service correlated with service-learning components that make connections to community needs. Each day of the program will include direct service with partner organizations, as well as education, leadership development, and the completion of a hands-on service project. Each session has addresses a specific community need.
